More interesting items/ideas for a Bioshock Rapture MMORPG

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- -

Part 96

--- --- --- ---

The Illogical Weapon Upgrades in Infinite BS (What NOT To Do In Designing a Game) :

Many/Most of the upgrades cannot be justified by skill improvements (how exactly paying for 'skill' from a Minuteman's Armory vending machine causes that upgrade anyway ??? At least the Research Camera had some logic of telling you of weakpoints or somesuch...) So these 'Upgrades' are a 'physical' change to the weapon you have ?, (WHICH YOU CONSTANTLY DISCARD !!! ... because of the 2 weapon limit. But you do get to keep the Sky-hokum).

Infinite BS missed the boat by not having alternate ammo types, which would have given the Player some tactical variety to the limited gun types the Player could have at one time.

The MMORPG will have some limits (max weight for everything carried, and encumbrance causing impairment), and enhancements like Body Strength attributes you can improve via exercise/training (some are not getting tired as fast). Many MMORPG Character upgrades would be Skill learned via usage(experience) or earned by training (technique). Modified weapons can have direct effect (as does quality/damage-state of the weapon/ammo), but if you throw that weapon away, then that mod is gone. Since the Player is affected by total weight carried, other items like tools/ammo/supplies also become part of the limitations. Decisions then have to be made of what to carry -- to match the situation (loaded down when safe, but be unencumbered when you have to act...) You can also have things like packs, belts, satchels (even wheel-barrows), which you can Tactically drop to lose carry-weight during actions (do remember to pick it up when you are through...).

--- ---

Squee Splicers - Soooo cute - then it rips your face off ...

--- --- ---

Visual Appearance/Actions Indicate Damage State, Instead of 'Health Bar' for Opponents/Allies/Self : It is too perfect to know to the last HitPoint when you are 'winning'/losing/tired/etc.. (ditto about your opponents). More realistic indicators can be done in a game which offers more clues/cues.

- Better visual effects to generally indicate damage (red vision, blurred tunnel vision, etc...)

- Impairments of actions as a clue (slowness/wavering/clumsyness/stumbling/dropping things/limps/etc... loss of accuracy). Some can be subtle, others more obvious.

- Degredation of strength multiplies the effects of encumberment and endurance. Not having exaggerated movements and better animations give the Player more time to spot the clues.

--- ---

For Your Training Convenience :

City Shooting Gallery and Range (in New Rapture) - trying to look like a combat simulator, but with really lousy kludged targets, and things that malfunction all the time, in amusing ways.

- Various Training by "Experts" - especially for many non-lethal skills/weapons. "Think Like a Splicer", etc...

- City Sponsored Pamphlets "The Splicer - Please Dont Kill Them"... and "Aim for the nerve cluster under the Armpits"

- Training Required for your Future Job as a Constable. How to handle a 'net' for disorderly Citizens. Fisticuffs and how to handle the brawlers. What to do against an opponent with A Pointed Stick.

- Probably a good venue for 'tutorials' about various weapons and trainable tactics (to get used to the interface usage to make it do what you intend).

- Variety of weapons to test shoot with.

- "Who is Atlas" posters have all been used up (target practice) - hardly one left to be found. (Most of Lambs were destroyed by her ex-followers already).

- BYOA (bring your own ammo) --- ---

Columbia should have had Clown Splicers - The disturbing Effects of those 'Tears' Appearing Everywhere ...

OR DIDNT THEY ???????????

Its always nice when you opponents don't use their numerical superiority to come at you all at once -- so you can kill them all piecemeal.

--- --- --- ---

Collecting Postcards (from the Good Old Days) :

Some of the usual 'Achievement' stuff (Collect Them ALL !!! and get some worthless 'Achievement'...) game activity. (Well you do have alot of time to kill in MMORPGs and there is nothing as exciting as going through corpses' pockets and rubbish heaps.)

Potentially get a Clue to get somewhere interesting, which was seen or mentioned in previous games. Visit some of the places from BS1 except now that it is 8+ (almost 10) years later. Wow someone actually cleaned up some of those places.. "Oh Look, the New Management in Persephone have finally cleaned up all the rubbish and have given the place a new coat of paint..."

Make it a 'Trading Card Game' (whatever... with some payoff to 'complete the set' ... "Ill trade you a Sander Cohen for a Bill McDonagh, But You'll have to give me a Jasmine Jolene too" )

Similar for 'Photographs'. (Worth 1000 words - clues in them might be worth 1000 ADAM)

Maybe you can play Russian Roulette for them (Its a MMORPG - you CANT die...)

--- --- ---

The Player's Character's Forgotten Past :

You ain't gonna be Sander Cohen's nephew or Andrew Ryan's "other" son -- You're just gonna be one of the ordinary folk who lived and worked in Rapture (Game Celebrities and their relatives are reserved for Mission use anyway...). You are some Joe Blow with alot of your memories wiped out by your Splicer Disease Damage - not much left over from the 'Before', whether you were an Industrialist, Scientist, some guy who peeled potatoes, or some loser who ran up gambling debts and sold his daughter to be an ADAM-mutant for Frank Fontaine.

You can PRETEND you had been somebody, but ADAM did a pretty thorough job over the years to eliminate personalities. SO dress as Capone as a hobby, but everyone will know thats all it is.

Seriously, I dont think it should be part of the game to have Players 'piece together' their past from some standard templates (it gets too repetative). It should be all about WHAT they are doing NOW and WHAT they are making of themselves via 'the sweat of their brow' and their creativity and cleverness.

City ID Records exist ? Probably can be 'contrived' that much of those details were destroyed./scrambled so to eliminate Players tracing their previous Identities.

--- --- ---

Fully Electrified Rapture :

Many people today might not realize that Electric power wasn't available in many (most rural) parts of the US less than 2 decades earlier than when Rapture started (15 yrs before the end of WW2 was the Great Depression...). Many of the huge hydroelectric dam systems were started/built in the 1920s and 1930s (Hoover Dam, etc..).

It is possible that Ryan had built a good part of his fortune making equipment for the expanding Electric Industry in the US, and other parts of the World. It WAS his area of technical expertise (He is sort of a Howard Hughes type character).

Rapture's cheap power from a geothermal source would be one key element of making the City possible -- perhaps it was some project in Iceland that originally gave Ryan ideas. Nuclear power generation technology had not even started (let alone become a commercial reality).

--- ---

The "Artists Struggle" Art Gallery seen on the Main street in BaS DLC :

Where do you find MOST 'artists' in the Real World, and why is the term 'starving artist' a byword (and "don't quit your day job") ? How many truely good artists could Rapture have?

Would such a place (art sales gallery) occupy high-rent space (are there enough rich people to justify an entire fancy venue?) On the other hand, ALOT of good art could have been brought originally from the Surface, which later had to be sold off. Few Ritzy Galleries ... and perhaps keeping the place Spiffy costs even more than the Rent that Ryan asks for on a prime commercial location (Rapture was pretty well paid for when he cashed in his Billions up there).

Art Critics are just another flavor of Parasite when they gain too much power/influence for common sense to overrule them. So artists, expecting THEY will be successful and rich, would be more common than any who actually were successful/talented. If the buyers don't like the 'art' an artist produces, there is not much they can do but earn a living another way (and there would be only so many rich patrons, who THEMSELVES will demand what kind of art THEY want produced.) So expect many 'amateur artists' (and alot of bad art STILL around Rapture)...

http://museumofbadart.org/

As usual, there could be the 'fads' and 'trends' and 'gimmicks' with which the idle rich people try to outdo each other with (and the common people shake their heads at). The truth is, for a long time so called 'Art' is more "the Art of the Scam" performed by art critics/dealers who have to come up with something 'new' to sell to the suckers each new year.

--- --- ---

More Realistic Corpses .... Hmmm :

More realistic corpse twitching (More minor animation Assets - to give you weird happenings once in a while - enough to make you not sure they're dead ?) Bioshock had some problem with their Physics Engine that would leave a part of a body unstable doing a cyclic vibration (quite uncorpselike) twitch endlessly (at least it gave me the fun of shouting 'Stay Dead F#$%^*& ..." as I whacked it a bit more with the wrench.) A minor dampening factor could have fixed that ...

Gibs are always amusing (gibblets - the bits that go flying when you strike blows, etc...) But since you aren't supposed to kill Splicers (much) anymore ... I suppose "vermin" animals can have Gibs, and machines can spew parts as you blow them apart.

Perhaps y MMORPG times most of the incidental corpses have been cleared up (a health hazard) - at least within New Rapture's City Limits and its immediate vicinity. Seriously with all the vermin and half starved insane Splicers about how long would those corpses we sa in BS1/BS2 have really stayed there. Piles of Bones are probably harder to render convincingly (they dont lay there in a nice halloween-like normally-connected pattern - they get scatterd about).

--- --- ---

Remake of Infinite:BS (Using the MMORPG Engine) = Now with INFINITE Improvements !!! :

Get rid of the "One path to lead them all, same-old obstacles to block and in one plot to bind them"

Have the old old E3 trailer's Columbia GOOD Skyline and Cityscape Flythrough action!!!! (massively improve the game) Improved engine performance allows the huge map they couldnt do in the original.

Randomized/multiple plot Paths, Scenes, Weapons, Props, Opponent Mobs,

Put back in the 'special action' Big Tear Scenes (and not those stupid battle tears). Player Asset Creation can gernerate untold numbers of interesting/weird/disturbing/amusing shit to pull from elsewhere in the Universe

Add back that abandoned idea of having 'moral choices' that you can decide to make, and have 'doing the right thing' COST YOU. 50 (thats right *FIFTY*) different endings - Bad/Good/Stupid/GAMEOVER/Evil/Twisted/Freaky/Cute/Sad/Boring/Absurd/Etc...

Get rid of the stoopid Gear "I have my magic pants on, that makes machines give me more money". Replace with something a bit logical.

Less Manic Magpie loot searching (why do so many people in Columbia throw away money?) More interesting things to find, too. Half-eaten Foodstuffs in the trash probably shouldnt serve as 'loot'.

Proper AI - 'bystander' NPCs that run in terror from you, etc... Better opponent tactices (can use many of the modular logic from the main MMORPG).

More variations between weapons (carry more than 2 to facilitate specialized use), and have some fricken Alternate Ammo!! Decent Chainsaw.

Crank springy devices to help you jump (real gear and not that fantasy magnetic bullshit that was so dim).

The Giant Pigeon itself could have been a mechanical Spring-Heeled Jack (ineptly trundling after Booker and inevitably going over an ledge on a one way trip to the ground). Sorry, big flapping winds dont work unless the 'bird' is absurdly ligh (and thus no real menage and only a fun/easy shooting target).

Tesla Technology (ditch that Quantumz buzzword-abuse/plot-crutch) If you are going to have techno-babble, then at least have some logical creativity with it.

Show Elizabeth what a REAL Trans-orbital Lobotomy is ...

Theocratic Racist Fascism fine, but don't go making believe this is "evil ole America's" history. Lets have it be a proper police state - and none of this Booker's Endless Shooting Gallery lameness. You have to sneak around cuz sometime there too many of them, and they WILL kill you if you Rambo it. Informers amonst the lower classes ... Yup in this place it world be worse than East Germany.

Weird crap from all times and places pulled through tears. And not that pathetic limited 'battle' tear choice - the Tear things are supposed to be EVERYWHERE, all the time. Have alot more use for them - have some Portal like puzzle (except not as hard) that you can figure multiple ways to solve.

Finally - its all a Splicer's Fever Dream -- So all the Bullshit Fake Science and weird nonsense history/religion crap has a REALZ explanation - ITS FANTASY!!! ( "Oh, it was ALL a Dream!!! ... What the HELL did I inject into myself last night????, and WHERE did these Rabbit Ears come from ???" )

In other words do Infinite : BS RIGHT.

--- --- ---

Container Me THIS Batman!!!

Every object which would be a container WILL be a container (in the MMORPG). So for the Players who like to play "Manic Magpie" there will be ample things to feed their Addiction. Now that doesn't mean that you will find every container full or having something valuable in it, but if you don't look you won't find. All kinds of amusing (if not useful) items could be there to be found. SO much rubbish that you can't haul all of it away (and you can leave it for the next adventurer to sift through.

Don't forget to look between the cushions in the furniture, as long forgotten goodies might be found. Your NPC henchmen/lackeys can do this once you learn the skill(s) (except maybe they won't immediately throw it at your face like Elizabeth did - "Booker ! Dead Rat, Catch !!!"... "Booker ! Bowling Ball, Catch !!!"...

Containers also NOW can be used to PUT things in (like garbage cans for all the rubbish you picked up that you now know arent worth hauling around). Caching items for 'later'... All the containers for stuff in you Residence or Business/Shop as storage. Backpacks/utility belts/wheelbarrows for all the stuff you carry around.

--- --- ---

MMORPG - Try to Leverage Symbiosis Between Players :

Where what one Player does helps give other Players a better game experience.

The outside-of-game Player Asset Creation is part of this, where the product of one Player's creating something can give an expanded experience to thousands of other Players.

In-game use of old and new Player Created Assets - through the development of the City - Players see other Players have/do things that they didn't realize they could also do (and in their own way ... often creatively). New things to constantly look at and play with ... Customizations and combinations (object interact as well, becoming more than what they are singley).

Various 'human interest' content - Rapture themed back-story infused everywhere. Lots of references to Canon/Lore. Imagination of magnitudes more people than a few game writers.

Discoveries in the Terrain (clues) can lead to additional new places to visit. Repairing City Infrastructure changes the environment and can make possible further City improvements and expansion (the games terrain/object system is flexible enough for this). The City actually changes as the Players live in it (often seeing things THEY THEMSELVES helped rebuild/improve).

-

Want to wreck someone elses in-game improvement ? - then the City's NPC Citizens will beat the shit out of you, and THEN you can spend some long time in a hospital bed imobile listening to your bruised head buzzing and your skills atrophying. Sufficient of your hard won possessions would be auctioned off to pay for the damages you caused (or maybe just looted and any tools you used to do the damage would be confiscated). Eventually you might learn that YOU are no longer a half-insane Splicer -- so stupid sociopathic behavior won't be tolerated.

--- --- ---

Does Sofia Lamb Believe Her Delusion ? :

After seeing the physical changes to humans, made possible by ADAM, does she then assume that she can 'genetically' change human nature too - to eradicate what she declares afflicts All Mankind ?

She didn't seem to be paying attention as ADAM drove people insane - mental destruction instead of mental change. And all the desired effects not being permanent, as the human's genes reasserted themselves over time and eliminated temporary changes made to peoples bodies - and leaving damage and disruption in its wake.

ADAM in reality was used to only make minor physical changes genetically, and using existing natural patterns overlaid on a human to get some cheap carnival tricks. Completely changing humans into her Borg-like Utopians is fantastically more complicated. Her Project's assumption sets her as a match to the Fink's 'Caveman' level of ignorance, about genetics if not also philosophically.

Does Sofia Lamb care ? For many historic Collectivist leaders, they are really only after Power over others, and what they voice as their goals are lies - just a means to an end - of Gaining Total Control. Make people believe in this so good sounding Utopian thing - dangle it out in front of desperate traumatized and (in Rapture) mentally damaged people to get them to do as she asks (and anyone not 'buying it' gets killed on her orders). Fake religion is temporarily used to sway those with promises of good, before she betrays them all. "Useful Idiots" is a term Lenin used for those too deluded/ignorant to see the swindle.

--- --- ---

Ice Maker Machine IN YOUR HAND!!! :

The Freeze Plasmid (before Winter Blast) was fairly limited (and the ADAM dependant cost of it not cheap for what it did). It was best as a party gimmick, something to show off.

Later Tonics like Ice Storm applied 'cold' to miscreants who hit the user (direct contact).

There is a physical way (not chemical) to 'freeze' something via an Endothermic reaction (like suddenly adding alot of certain salts to water) which can suddenly going into solution absorb heat sufficient for a 'cold pack' to turn a small amount of water into ice. Quickly vaporising (evaporation) of chemicals like alcohol can absorb heat also.

Unfortunatley, the amount of energy/heat absorbed by an amount of these 'mixed' chemicals is fairly small, and limits the mass that can be cooled to the freezing point. So unless there is some kind of cryogenic storage with a regenerative process that progressively creates a small amount of VERY super-cold material (which is then saved up), then no large-scale freezing could work. You still then have to deal with storing' this 'cryogenic' material which is cold enough to freeze flesh -- requiring somekind of multi-staged vacuum(?) or layered dissimilar insulators formed out of body tissue to prevent the material from sucking all the heat out of the rest of the user's body ...

Applying this Freezing remotely would require projecting the cryogenic material quickly (preferably densely) into contact with a target.

It is somewhat more plausible for the Combat Plasmid (Winter Blast) to be more a 'glue' than a 'freeze' to produce the large scale effects we are shown, instead of a human becoming little more than a cryogenic super-soaker. Glue substances can be quite strong and DONT have to be stores below minus 70 degrees.

For bulk consumer ice, ice-making machines (even built into household refrigerators) are still the practical way. Some waiter at a fancy restaurant refilling ice cubes might be the largest pracctical ice production of that type of 'Plasmid' (immediate use on small scale and no long accumulated super-cold storage).

--- --- ---

Post-Chaos "Rare" Items :

- Unusual Plasmids/Tonics (potentially old and defective)

- Strange weapons ie- a few experimentals that might not act quite normal, or fail alot in spectacular ways. May need repairs before useable.

- Foodstuffs that you don't get much of anymore (Spices would be a good example) Really old canned goods well past their expiration date.

- Less well-known Stuff from 'old days' - experimentals, productions stopped by Civil War, bad/dangerous products shunned by consumers.

- Single use Items - so not to make a habit of them if they turn out to be really good (and which you often don't find out how effective they are til you use them...)

- Mystery items -- the lettering on the package wore off/missing (investigate before gulping it down). Crushed/damaged/half-there items that just dont work any more.

- Deranged Writings (all the Sofia Lamb stuff wasn't bad enough...) Splicers did really bad poetry(by definition alone)/stories/letters , or just the usual mediocre average stuff, though on rather interesting subjects.

- Combinatorics items names/descriptions/components/attributes to create a plethora of 'unique' items (via (auto-generation) -- much of the time its something ordinary with a odd brand name. Some are odd unusually logicked things (kludgey) which still do something (the Fabrication system allows for glomming objects together to make 'machines').

Some objects are good only as 'parts', but then there are many "parts" you don't find much of any more (which are useful for fixing some of those 'old' things).

Sander Cohen Trading cards - only one set was made before Cohen had the rest of the production destroyed (because they missplelled his name).

--- ---

Factoid From Somewhere :

Looking back, the most impressive achievements can be attributed to the ancient Romans. They soldered 400 km long water pipes made of lead with seams which could withstand upto 18 Atmospheres of Pressure (!), and conjured up stoves and tubs made of bronze, not to mention the arts of their goldsmiths and armourers.

OK - Roman Version of Rapture ... (if you really must have it, but YOU will have to organize and create it yourself - I'll be working on the Vanilla Flavor Rapture mostly).

--- ---

Was it also What Drove Them Mentally to Turn into Big Sisters ? :

All that wonderful "childhood" experience for the surviving Little Sisters (add also whatever Sofia Lamb afflicted them with). At some point, they reach an age when they realize what they are doing (age of 7 is an appropriate psychologicl age for that to start) - the magical outlook on the world fades, as it usually does around that age... Frightening things happening in Rapture at that point, for children still not very old - and subsequently wising upto it all. Teenage Rebellion ontop of that.

What might be interesting is : Role Playing from a Big Sister's point of View (Flashbacks at various times from Bs2 through the present MMORPG times).

--- --- ---

Game Depth Beyond What you can See (While You are Busy Shooting Everything in Sight) :

Is it Too much to ask for a story that is Cohesive and not full of Contrivances ... Gibberish story is all that is really needed for merely a 'Shooter' game (QED).

Quality - that takes alot of work, and it is possible (an excuse) that for Infinite BS they kept redesigning what the game was finally to be, and eventually did not have the time/resources/money to do the proper job (after retreating from things they simply couldn't implement). The Slaughtering part of game - well that gets first priority, as that is what sells a majority of Players on the game, but if the reviewers called it 'average' (their euphemism for 'bad') it would be a flop. Fortunately for the company they could sell this game on its Brand Name, and it sort of got by with combat less interesting than the previous game's. There IS the Pretty Scenery, which really adds little to the gameplay, check. Preposterous 'science', 'religion', 'historic society' ... not really what I would call Bioshock (which tried to be well based on its nostalgia period for its background). That by-now-expected 'twist' ending to all the linear choreographed 'story' stuff, and a few other special scenes -- They only had to be made to work sufficiently (they ditched alot of more-complicated plot/story interweavings/interactions they previously pretended the game would include).

So "Let the Buyer Beware". If Players could get more refunds these days, you might not see so much dodgy stuff like Infinite BS, being produced.

--- --- ---

Executions in Columbia - the execution tube (or just a hole in the floor?) that drops 'the condemned' to their death ... whirling blades ?? Sausage making machine to feed the Serfs ? Fink Brand Sausages (what goes into normal ones is bad enough...). If they are only animals ("Cattle", etc..) why waste anything ? Soylent Whatever.... (and Bookers been scarfing the stuff down the whole game... those 'hot dogs'... )

Infinite Possibilities once the 'stupid' is out of the Bag (Splicer Dreams - you can do anything you want... except misuse copyrighted material...)

Electric Chair scene for Booker - public execution of the False Shephard - OR would that be a Stoning ???

The Time Police/Interdimensional Regulatory Commision Agents come for the Luteces for their destructive meddling.

--- --- ---

Elizabeth Learns to Use the Bidet... :

Alternate Dimension where Columbia was created by the French, so Elizabeth gets to go to Paris after all ... Except she finds out that there are large parts/aspects of Paris which In-Reality are very dark and sinister and dangerous (and the French are Rude !!!). Comstock wears a beret and forces Elizabeth to eat those thick sauces (and speaks with an Outrageous Accent... And then he taunts her for a 'second time' ...).

We get to see all 'The Social Ills of France' caricatured (real and imagined).

--- ---

Need to find a Flashback Scene that Fits Sullivan's Infamous Quote :

"It looks like a fricken Clown exploded in here !!!"

--- --- ---

How Many People would Fall for Lamb's Tricks ? :

How many of Raptures 20000-40000 people were her patients ? One psychiatrist can only handle so many individual cases, and doing 'group' probably would get her little conspiracy/anti-Ryan philosophy spotted sooner than later.

Prentis Mill (Audio Diary "Just_a_Fad") - "My rails only connect the oldest parts of Rapture now" and the AE Map ( Atlantic_Express_(Business) ) . Evidence showing that what we see of Lamb's collectivist domain (in BS2) need only be a small part of Rapture - along the old AE Amusment Park Line.

So thus what of the rest of Rapture ? Maybe with the type of person who came to Rapture, Lamb's Philosophy would sound as absurd as it was, OR too alike the manipulators they came away from on the Surface. Being half-insane from ADAM probably wouldn't change that judgement.

A question might be - how closely did she associate with Father Wales in the early days (did she use the want of Religion of some Citizens to draw people in to where she could get her phycologically manipulative claws into them ?) The Eleanor fetishism was after(?) she was recovered from Little Sisterhood - which by that time Sofia was incarcerated and may have needed Wales as her 'front man' outside in the rest of Rapture).

How many of the inmates at Persephone did she sway (or how many fooled/used her and would try to wring her neck once she pressured them too much)? How many we insane or marginally-sane Splicers who you can't really control with any certainty?

She obviously (previously) had managed to convince some idle rich people to fund her social 'experiments' (ie- Dionysus), but how many came to see it out of boredom (want of something new) rather than any real interest in her Philosophy? Her psychoanalysis business probably didn't make her rich enough for any such, but we don't know how affluent she had been on the Surface (and of any wealth she brought with her).

At what point did she publish (for general distribution) her "Unity and Metamorphosis" book (where to anyone intelligent, her ideas/plans would suddenly sound very ominous). Perhaps it was one of the things that had made Ryans say 'enough' and set in motion the investigation of her Sedition.

Sofia Lamb is a good example of "False Altruism". She talks other people into 'altruism' and gets THEM to expend their wealth and effort (and lives), while SHE obtains/maintains Power, eventually emerging as a murderous tyrant seeking to contaminate the whole World with her insanity.

--- --- ---

Grace, Just Another Tool ... :

"My folks lived in the St. Louis Hooverville in '32... and the Drop is worse by a mile. But Doctor Lamb cares. We're still people to her." - Grace Holloway

I guess Grace never read Sofia's book then, or listened to her dehumanization rantings.... (or Aunty only heard what she wanted to hear).

The expression "Borg" didn't exist yet (that is what Sofia had planned for Mankind). Maybe Sofia wasn't so vocal about the "sacrifice" part when she was getting started. BUT Grace could hardly miss it once Sofia took over that section of the City. Ditto for the 'Unbelievers'.

Sofia Lamb treated her own daughter as a lab animal. Is that really the kind of person you want defining 'how the human race should exist' ??? Grace obviously wasn't watching what happened to Eleanor after Sofia took her back from being a Little Sister. I wonder what she would have made of Sofia smothering Eleanor. "That evil woman tried to smother my baby Eleanor, so I clubbed her til she wasn't movin no more."

--- ---

Tech Level Falls A Bit :

Need more Huge Frankenstein Style 'Knife' Switches for machinery ? Knife Switches - are easier to fabricate after Rapture's "problems" happened. Might wanna try to keep em dry though - high voltage doesn't like water in direct contact. Actually, in heavy industry huge hydraulic disk contact breakers were used for high-current power on-off, with their contact surface immersed in oil to keep their surfaces from spark corroding/scarring).
